Upstream systems are authoritative systems with systems of records that can be imported into EmpowerID. The system of records can be related to personnel, geographical, department, or role, etc. An example of such Up Stream system is HR systems that have data about each person in an organization and that data can be feed into EmpowerID to start managing the identities of the person. This helps you get started with identity management immediately with your existing data from the systems that you already use.
EmpowerID seamlessly supports synchronization of accounts, locations, and roles data from Up Stream Systems Applications Such as HR Systems. This process of synchronization termed inventory in EmpowerID is possible with of out of box connectors shipped with EmpowerID. , connectors have already been explored in previous sections. You will have to create an account store for your Up Stream system to enable inventory with EmpowerID Identity Warehouse using the connectors. Once the account stores are configured with Scheduled Connector Jobs can manage the identity information in that system the data can flow in regular configured intervals. These upstream systems can also be configured to synchronize data both ways - into empowered from upstream and from EmpowerID to upstream systems using by using bidirectional connector mode.
