When you need access to a particular resource, such as membership in a group, you use the IT Shop to do so. The IT Shop provides a number of simple and search parameters that allow you to narrow your search to specific resources. The below table describes these search features by resource type. You access the IT Shop to request available resources. This requesting action is known as creating or submitting a “Business Request.” Once a Business Request is submitted, EmpowerID routes it for approval based on the Approval Flow policies configured for that request. The following demonstrates a typical IT Shop user experience.

For example, if you want to request membership in a Management Role that sends notifications to each member when changes in group membership occur, you can select Notifications as the tag and then further refine results using one or more Advanced search parameters.
