The number and type of notifications that EmpowerID sends to Business Request participants can be enabled or disabled at the organizational level and configured to allow users to set their own preferences. If a notification is enabled, and users can set their own preferences, they can disable the notification in the My Identity application.

Globally enable or disable Notification policies

  1. On the navbar, expand IT Shop and select Approval Flow Notification Policies.

  2. Select On the Notification Policies page, select the Notification Policies tab .Click and then click the Edit button beside the notification that you want to enable or disable.

  3. Toggle Enabled to the desired state and save your changes.

Globally Set Notification preferences

  1. On the navbar, expand IT Shop and select Approval Flow Notification Policies.

  2. Select On the Notification Policies page, select the Notification Preferences tab .Select and then select an appropriate participant type from the Participant Type drop-down to see all notifications for that type. For example, select Initiator if you want to see the notifications available for business requests' initiators.

  3. Optionally, enter the event you want to globally set in the search field and press ENTER to further filter the results.

Configure Daily Digest Reports

EmpowerID supports daily digest emails using the Notification Report Subscription feature. Current shipping reports include:

  • My Business Requests – Email with a report of open or recently closed requests for the subscriber or those initiated by the subscriber.

  • To Do Business Requests – Email with a report of all pending To Do tasks for the subscriber.

You can update the compiler job for the digests and edit the reports by following the below procedures.

Update the Job Notification Report Subscription Job

This job allows servers to claim reports on a scheduled basis.

  1. On the navbar, expand Infrastructure Admin > EmpowerID Servers and Settings and select EmpowerID Servers.

  2. Select the Server Jobs tab and then search for Notification Report Subscription Compiler.

  3. Click the Display Name link for the job to navigate to the View One page for the job.

  4. Expand the Server Roles accordion and verify that the job is enabled on at least one server role for your environment.

  5. Expand the EmpowerID Servers accordion and verify the job is running on at least one server in your environment.

Edit Subscription Email Templates

Each report subscription has an associated email template containing styled HTML and wild card elements. The default email templates for shipping reports include the following:

  • My Business Requests

  • To Do Business Requests

To edit the My Business Requests template, do the following:

  1. On the navbar, expand Admin > Miscellaneous and select Localized Emails.

  2. Select the Emails tab and search for MyTasks_DailyDigest_MyBusinessRequests.

  3. Click the Display Name link for the MyTasks_DailyDigest_MyBusinessRequests template.

  4. On the View One page for the template, click the Edit link.

    This opens the Edit page for the template. From this page you can edit the Email Subject, edit the HTML text style, as well as view the email wildcard tokens (while wildcard tokens can be edited, it is recommended that you do not change them as by default they reflect the nature of the email). .

    • {TargetPerson.FriendlyName} – Uses the FriendlyName property of the person to whom the email is addressed
