A Flat File Connector in EmpowerID is a powerful & dynamic connector specially tool designed for bidirectional data synchronization communication between EmpowerID and external identity-aware systems and EmpowerID, with generally available applications using flat files. This connector can inventory data from any , enabling data synchronization and interoperability. With this connector, you can effortlessly import data from external systems, whether it's stored in CSV or flat file delimited by a pipe, a tab, or any single character. EID also formats, and it supports various delimiters like pipes and tabs. Moreover, EmpowerID can export data into any commonly used delimited file using this connector. It can import/export delimited files with any no of columns and headers.

EmpowerID connects with various external systems to manage the identity lifecycle of the persons. Not all external systems would have SDK, API, or other interfacing mechanisms. Developing such a system is also complex and costly. Export and Import from/into comma-separated, semicolon-separated, and other flat files is a common feature found in most systems. With this connector, EmpowerID can inventory data from the dumps of the external system and also dump data into files that can be used by external systems to process with custom logic. The flat file connector increases the interoperability of EmpowerID with the external systems without any sophisticated interfacing mechanism in an external system.

Flat file connector supports three (3) modes of synchronization between external systems and EmpowerIDthese flat file formats, simplifying data exchange with external systems, even those lacking SDKs or APIs.

There are three synchronization modes available to meet your specific needs. Please follow the instructions below to configure the flat file connector.

Inbound

Use inbound mode to sync or inventory Identity data from the external systems into EmpowerID.

Outbound

With Outbound mode, identity object changes in EmpowerID can be exported as flat files for the external systems.

Bidirectional

Bidirectional mode synchronizes data from the External system into EmpowerId and vice versa using flat files.
