In EmpowerID, Management Role Definitions are collections of "operational capabilities" and or native system rights that have been packaged together . They are packaged as job-based bundles that you can be used use as templates when creating Management Roles. In this model,

Management Role Definitions do not grant people the ability to do anything in EmpowerID, and, in fact, cannot be assigned you cannot assign them to anyone. Rather, Management Role Definitions provide a baseline of functions that you can be further defined define in any child Management RoleRoles. EmpowerID provides a number of Management Role Definitions out of the box, however you can create new ones as needed to meet the needs of your organization.

This topic demonstrates how to create a Management Role Definition and is divided into the following activities:

To create a Management Role Definition

From

In the Navigation Sidebar of the EmpowerID Web interface,

navigate to Management Role management page by expanding

expand Identities and

click Management Roles.
From the Actions pane

of the Management Role management page

, click the Create Management Role Definition action.

In the Management Role Definition Details form that appears,

for the Management Role Definition in the Name and Display Name fields.
