You can accomplish this manually by running the DeleteMultiplePeopleWithOptions workflow. EmpowerID provides two paths for running the workflow.

  1. You can run it from the Action accordion of the View page for a Person and you can run it from the Find Person page. Running it from the Action accordion of the View Page for a Person makes that person the target of the workflow.

  2. You can run it from the Find Person page. Running it from the Find Person page gives you the option to delete multiple people at one time.

This topic demonstrates emergency termination by running the workflow from the Action accordion of the Person View page.

Manually Delete a Person

  1. From the Global search bar, enter the name of the Person that needs to be terminated and click the tile for that person.

    This directs you to the View page for that Person.

  2. On the View page, expand the Actions accordion and click Terminate Person.

  3. Click Vote Yes to confirm you want to delete the Person.

    This opens the Person Termination Options dialog, which gives you the following options for handling the users accounts owned by the Person:

    • Delete All Accounts – If selected, all accounts linked to the Person will be deleted in the resource systems where they exist.

    • Orphan All Accounts – If selected, all accounts linked to the Person will not be deleted. The accounts will be marked as not belonging to a Person.

    • Allow Policies to Handle Accounts – If selected, all accounts linked to the Person will be handled in the manner specified by RET policies.

  4. Select the desired option and click Submit.
