Once you have created a secret, that secret belongs to you. As the secret owner, you can share the secret with anyone within your organization–as organization – as long as that person has a master password and access to the PAM.

Share secrets

  1. From

    In the

    navbar, expand Privileged Access and click Request Access.Click the Secrets tab

    EmpowerID Web application, click your user name and select View Profile.

  2. Click the Privileged Access tab and then expand Secrets. You should see any secrets you created, as well as any that are shared with you.

  3. Click the record for the secret you want to share and then click Manage Sharing

    This opens the Share a Vaulted Secret page for that secret.

  4. Click 

    Click the Edit (blue star) icon.

  5. Enter the name of the person with whom you want to share the secret and then click the tile for that person.

  6. Repeat step 5 for any other people with whom you want to share the secret.

  7. When finished selecting people, click Save.

    TipYou can stop sharing by clicking Edit and then clicking the Remove button beside the person for which you want to stop sharing the secret.

    You can also choose to only give share the secret during certain days or periods of time by doing the following:Click the Edit button and then click the Edit icon for the person to whom you only want to give temporary access.

    Click Temporary Access (GMT/UTC Time).

    To change the start date for sharing the secret, click the Access Begins field and then select the appropriate date and time form the calendar.

  8. To change the end date for sharing the secret, click the Access Ends field and select the appropriate date and time from the calendar.
  9. To only share the secret on certain days and times, click Enable Day of Week Restrictions and select the appropriate days and times.
