The master password is used to protect privileged access features in EmpowerID. For example, you need one in order to see a list of shared credentials in the Privileged Application Launcher. Once you create a master password, you can change it at any time.

You can change your master password as long as you know your current master password. If you cannot remember your master password, you will have to reset it.
Change your master password
On n the navbar, expand Privileged Access and select Request Access.Select the Secrets tab and click EmpowerID Web application, click your user name and select View Profile.
Click the Privileged Access tab and then expand Secrets.
Click Change Master Password.
In the dialog that appears, enter the following information:
Current Password – Your current master password
Password – Your new master password
Confirm Password – Your new master password
Click OK to save the new password.
