Restoring Deleted Mailboxes

This topic demonstrates how to restore a group that was previously deleted in EmpowerID and is divided into the following activities:

  • Restoring a mailbox that was previously deleted in EmpowerID
  • Verifying that the mailbox was restored in EmpowerID
  • Verifying that mailbox was restored in Exchange

    .

    To restore a mailbox that was previously deleted in EmpowerID

    1. In the Navigation Sidebar of the EmpowerID Web interface, expand Resources and click Mailboxes.
    2. Click the Restore Deleted Mailboxes action link.



    3. In the Deleted Mailboxes lookup that appears, search for the deleted mailbox you want to restore, click the record for it to select it and then click Submit.

    To verify that the mailbox was restored in EmpowerID

    1. In the Navigation Sidebar, expand System Logs and click Audit Log.
    2. From the Audit Log tab of Change Manager, type Restore Deleted Mailbox<Mailbox Name> in the Search field.

      You should see a record for the Restore Deleted Mailbox action appear in the grid.

    To verify that the mailbox was restored in Exchange

    1. On your Exchange server, run the below Powershell cmdlet, substituting the identity with that of the mailbox you just restored.
