Cloning a Management Role allows you to use the operations associated with the cloned Management Role as a starting point for building a new Management Role. When you clone a Management Role, you create an exact copy of it, with all of its delegations. Once you have created the clone, you can tailor it to meet your specific needs by adding or removing delegations as needed.

To clone a Management Role

  1. In the navigation sidebar, expand Identities and click Management Roles.
  2. Search for the Management Role you want to clone and then click the record for that role to display a list of contextual actions for the role.
  3. From the Actions pane, click the Clone Management Role action.



  4. Click Yes to confirm that you want to clone the Management Role and then click OK to close the Operation Execution Summary.

To verify the clone

  1. In the Navigation Sidebar, expand System Logs and click Audit Log.
  2. On the Audit Log tab, type Clone to <Name of the Management Role you Cloned> in the Search field and press ENTER.
    A record for the cloned Management Role should appear in the grid.
