As a security administrator, there are situations in which you need to transfer responsibility for Groups from one Person to another. Since there may be a number of groups involved, you can select multiple groups from one person to transfer all at once.
Prerequisites
Before you can transfer responsibility for a group, the group must have a single owner assigned. There are two ways to assign a single owner, both of which are covered in this topic.
To assign responsibility for a Group
In the Navigation Sidebar, expand Identities and select Groups.
Click the logon name of a group to which to assign a single owner.
On the Group Details page that appears, click in the box next to Single Owner, type the name of a person, and then click the tile of that person.
A Starting workflow message appears, and when the workflow finishes, an Update Complete message appears.
To bulk assign a single owner to a number of Groups
In the Navigation Sidebar, expand Identities and select Groups.
On the Actions tab, click Assign Owner for Groups.
On the Select Groups page that appears, select Groups to assign to a single owner and click Submit.
In the Select Person Lookup page that appears, select the person to whom you want to assign as the single owner of the selected Groups and click Submit.
A Starting workflow message appears, and when the workflow finishes, a Request Complete message appears.
