Publish the IT Shop Microservice to Azure

After you complete your configuration of the IT Shop in Azure, you need to publish the IT Shop (API) and IT Shop UI microservices to the IT Shop app services in Azure before users can shop for resources.

Publish the microservices

  1. On the navbar, expand Azure Manager and select Configuration.

  2. On the Configuration page, select the Tenants tab and then click the Publish Azure AD App Service action link.

  3. For Application Type select Microservices and then click Submit.

  4. For Microservice Application, select IT Shop (this is the back-end or API microservice) and click Submit.

  5. In the Azure Application Deployment form, do the following:

    • Client ID — Enter the Client ID of the IT Shop service principal app

    • Tenant ID — Enter the Tenant ID of your Azure AD tenant

    • Scope — Enter the scope set for the the IT Shop backend application you registered in Azure AD. The scope should be similar to https://{{itshop-ui-url}}/itshop.all, where {{itshop-ui-url}} is the URL for the IT Shop UI app service.

    • UI - Publisher Profile settings file — Click the Choose File button and then browse for the publisher profile settings for the IT Shop UI service app you downloaded

    • API - Publisher Profile settings file — Click the Choose File button and then browse for the publisher profile settings for the IT Shop API service app you downloaded

  6. When you have added all information to the IT Shop App Service Publish Settings form, click Submit.

  7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to publish the IT Shop to the designated app services.

  8. Click OK to close the publish results message.

  9. Back on the Configuration page, click the Settings tab.

  10. Enter the URL for the IT Shop UI app service in the IT Shop Microservice URL and click Save.
