Restoring Deleted Mailboxes
This topic demonstrates how to restore a group that was previously deleted in EmpowerID and is divided into the following activities:
- Restoring a mailbox that was previously deleted in EmpowerID
- Verifying that the mailbox was restored in EmpowerID
- Verifying that mailbox was restored in Exchange
To restore a mailbox that was previously deleted in EmpowerID
- From the Navigation Sidebar of the EmpowerID Web interface, navigate to the Find Mailboxes page by expanding Resources and clicking Mailboxes.
- Click the Restore Deleted Mailboxes action link.
- In the Deleted Mailboxes lookup that appears, search for the deleted mailbox you want to restore, click the record for it to select it and then click Submit.
To verify that the mailbox was restored in EmpowerID
- From the Navigation Sidebar, navigate to Change Manager by expanding System Logs and clicking Audit Log.
- From the Audit Log tab of Change Manager, type Restore Deleted Mailbox<Mailbox Name> in the Search field.
To verify the mailbox was restored in Exchange
- On your Exchange server, run the below Powershell cmdlet, substituting the identity with that of the mailbox you just restored.
