EmpowerID SaaS data is stored in Azure SQL Database, which is a fully managed cloud database service. Having an intelligence database server that learns app patterns and adapts to maximize performance, reliability, and data protection (wiki) helps EmpowerID scale to match your needs.

High availability, Database failover & Recovery are important aspects of any system. EmpowerID provides active Geo-Relocation between three availability zones (region), so failover is possible when needed.

Database Infrastructure Requirements (On-Premise)

EmpowerID leverages the powerful Microsoft SQL Server for the on-premise solutions to host the database. Hardware

64-bit multi-core

12 or more cores depending upon the load.

64 GB dedicated

Minimum 200 GB across drives, more to be added considering your volume.

Some important software requirements about the database are

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later is supported

  • Full-Text Search should be installed and Enabled; EmpowerID uses Full-Text Catalog for search.

On-Premise SQL servers are also configured with features for High availability and failover.
