Assign Credentials to Computers
Assigning credentials to managed computers in EmpowerID allows users to access these computers through RDP or SSH sessions via the Privileged Session Manager (PSM). This process ensures that users can securely authenticate to systems using the vaulted credentials.
Procedure
Step 1 – Access the Computer’s Management Page
On the navbar, click Privileged Access > Computers.
Navigate to the Computers tab.
Search for the computer to which you want to assign credentials.
Click the Display Name link for the computer to open its View One (management) page.
This directs you to the View One page for the computer. View One pages are designed to facilitate the viewing and managing the corresponding objects in EmpowerID.
Step 2 – Add Vaulted Credentials to the Computer
On the computer's View One page, locate the PAM section.
Expand the Vaulted Credentials for Computer accordion.
Click the Add Credential button.
Step 3 – Select the Credentials
In the search box, search for and select the target credentials you wish to assign to the computer.
Once selected, click Save to apply the changes.
Results
EmpowerID vaults the credentials, enabling their use for accessing the computer via RDP or SSH sessions through the Privileged Session Manager (PSM).
