You may encounter the following error page if you have installed the EmpowerID SharePoint Web Services and the EmpowerIDSharePoint20XX Application Pool does not have a configured identity with sufficient permissions:

To resolve this issue a SharePoint administrator will need to set the Application Pool identity for the EmpowerIDSharePoint20XX Application Pool on any server where the EmpowerID SharePoint Web Services are installed. The EmpowerIDSharePoint20XX Application Pool identity is configured as NetworkService by default, which does not have sufficient permissions to read and write to the EmpowerID Event Log.
