Import-Module : The specified module 'ActiveDirectory' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory when attempting to run the AD Self-Service Suite PowerShell scripts

You may experience the following error messages when attempting to run the AD-Self Service Suite PowerShell scripts:

Import-Module : The specified module 'ActiveDirectory' was not loaded because no valid module file was found in any module directory."

The term 'Get-ADUser' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program.

  1. Open Server Manager. Navigate to Features and click on Add Features.

  1. In the Add Features Wizard window that appears, expand Remote Server Administration Tools > Role Administration Tools > AD DS and AD LDS Tools. Check "Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell" and click Next.

  1. On the Confirm Installations Selections screen, click Install. When the Installation Results screen appears click Close.

  1. Run the AD-Self Service Suite PowerShell script. The error should no longer occur.
