Set Home Pages

A person's home page is the default page they see after logging in to your site. By default, EmpowerID assigns to each person their personal dashboard as their home page. This can be changed corporately via the Password Manager policies assigned to people as well as individually on a person-by-person basis. This article demonstrates both methods.

Set on Password Manager policies

  1. On the navbar, expand Password Management and select Password & Login Policies.

  2. Search for the Password Manager policy for which you want to set the home page and click the Display Name link for the policy.

  3. On the View page for the policy that appears, click the Edit link to put the policy in Edit mode.

  4. Select the Authentication Settings tab.

  5. Under Login Policy, enter the default home page for users in the Default Home Page field.
The value you enter here is a URL fragment that points to a specific page in the EmpowerID application. For example, the URL fragment that points to the Find page for Business Requests is #Common/Find/BusinessRequestItems; thus if you want to set that page as the default home page for every user with the Password Manager policy you enter #Common/Find/BusinessRequestItems in the Default Home Page field.

  6. Click Save.

Set on person page

  1. In the Global Search field available on any page of the EmpowerID Web interface, enter the name of the person for whom you want to set the home page and click the card for that person.

  2. On the Person page, click the edit button to put the Person in Edit mode.

  3. On the Edit page for the person, select the Advanced tab and enter the home page in the Default Home Page field.
The value you enter here is a URL fragment that points to a specific page in the EmpowerID application. For example, the URL fragment that points to the View Profile page for users is #Common/ViewOne/ViewSelf; thus if you want to set that page as the default home page for a user you enter #Common/ViewOne/ViewSelf in the Default Home Page field.

  4. Click Save.
