Send One-Time Passwords

If a person forgets their password, help desk staff or other delegated users can retrieve a time-sensitive one-time password and send it to the user. Once a person receives the one-time password, they can use it to gain access to EmpowerID, where they can reset their password as needed.

Send a one-time password

  1. On the navbar expand Identity Administration and select People.

  2. Search for the person to whom you want to send a one-time password and then click the record for that person to select it.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and expand the Actions accordion.

  4. Click the Set One Time Password button.

  5. Copy the passcode and click SUBMIT.

     

  6. Give the passcode to the user.
