When you establish a connection between EmpowerID and an external user directory, EmpowerID creates an 'account store object' to represent that directory within its internal database, the Identity Warehouse. As part of this process, EmpowerID duplicates all relevant user and group information from the external directory, transferring this data into a designated table within the Identity Warehouse. This configuration allows for synchronization and management according to your specific policies.

With this system, you can create, modify, or remove user and group objects directly within EmpowerID. Additionally, you can manage the access rights associated with these objects, all from within the EmpowerID environment, providing a centralized platform for identity and access management.
