EmpowerID SaaS data is stored in Azure SQL Database, which is a fully managed cloud database service. Having an intelligence database server that learns app patterns and adapts to maximize performance, reliability, and data protection (wiki) helps EmpowerID scale to match your needs.
High availability, Database failover & Recovery are important aspects of any system. EmpowerID provides active Geo-Relocation between three availability zones (region), so failover is possible when needed.

Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later is supported
Full-Text Search should be installed and Enabled; EmpowerID uses Full-Text Catalog for search.
