Removing app right assignments from users is a critical task that ensures individuals have the appropriate level of access to perform their roles effectively within an application. This process involves removing permissions that no longer align with each user's job responsibilities, thereby enhancing security and operational efficiency.
Procedure
In Resource Admin, use the search functionality to find the PBAC application with the app right assignments you want to remove add click the Details button for the app record.
This action directs you to the Overview page for the application.
Expand the PBAC Assignments menu item, select App Rights Assignments, and search for the assignment you want to remove.
Click Delete on the assignment record.
Confirm your decision.
Expected Result
You should see the app right assignment has been successfully removed. Searching for the assignment record should yield no results. Additionally, you can view audit log information in the EmpowerID Web app for verification. To do so, navigate to System Logs > Audit Logs and search for records using the following syntax: Action Assignee. In our example, we removed an app right from HDQ Sales so the syntax for our search would be Remove HDQ Sales.
You should see records for the target of the removal, the application with the app right assignment, and the app right removed.
