EmpowerID provides an intuitive and user-friendly workflow known as the Manage Management Role Workflow to manage already onboarded management roles in the system. This workflow takes you through a series of steps to delete the management role, edit the desired group, modify owners, update default assignees, and edit how the role will appear in the IAM shop. By following the instructions provided below, you can effortlessly complete the process and efficiently manage management roles within your organization.
Manage Management Role
Navigate to the portal for the Resource Admin app in your environment.
In Resource Admin, select Management Role from the dropdown at the top of the page.
Click on the Gear Icon ⚙️ and click Manage a Management Role. Alternatively, you can also select the Workflows tab and click Manage a Management Role.
You will now see the Manage Management Role wizard workflow. Simply follow the step-by-step guide and provide all the necessary details for the Management Role in each section. Remember to click on "Next" after completing each step.
To manage a management role, the first step involves selecting the appropriate roles. Our wizard simplifies this process by allowing you to take action on a single role or multiple roles simultaneously.Type the Name of the Management Role and Click on Search
To assign members to a management role, simply check the check-box next to the respective role(s). If you select multiple roles, they will be displayed in the "selected" label. Additionally, you can also remove the selected roles.
The available options and the summary of selected roles are currently being displayed by the wizard. Kindly choose an option based on your preference, as the wizard will modify the following screens accordingly.
Delete management roles - By selecting this option, you can delete the management roles you chose earlier.
Edit IAM shop settings - This option enables you to modify the settings of management role in the IAM shop.
Assign responsible party - By selecting this option, you can designate or assign a responsible person or group as a responsible party for the management role.
Edit RBAC Membership Policies (Only available for single selection)- This option enables you to modify the RBAC membership policy for the management role.
You can apply your changes and exit the wizard by clicking on the Submit button located on each screen.
