Delegated users can update a person's manager from the View or View One page. If the person being updated has user accounts in Active Directory or other connected account stores with attribute synchronization enabled, EmpowerID will push the updates to corresponding external directory accounts.

Procedure

Step 1: Locate the Person’s View Page

You can access the person's View or View One page in one of two ways:

  • Using the Global Search Bar: Search for the person at the top of the page (this is the quickest method).

  • Using the Find Person Page: Navigate to the Find Person page and search for the person.


Step 2: Remove the Current Manager

  1. On the person's View or View One page, expand the Org Chart and Relationships accordion.

  2. Under Manager and Approver Delegates, click the Edit button for Reports To.

  3. Click the Trash Can icon to remove the current manager.

  4. Click Save.

Step 3: Add the New Manager

  1. Click the Edit button for Reports To again.

  2. In the Search field, enter the new manager's name and click their tile.

  1. Click Save.

  2. A success message will appear, and the new manager will be displayed in the Reports To field.
