Assign Business Roles to Business Domains and Subdomains

Assign Business Roles to Business Domains and Subdomains

This article demonstrates how to assign Business Roles to Business Domains and subdomains using the default node structure. If you use nodes other than those depicted, replace them with those used in your environment. See Changing IAM Shop Application and Business Roles Parent Nodes for information on changing these nodes.

Procedure

  1. On the navbar, expand Role Management and click Business Roles and Locations.

  2. Select the Business Roles tab, search for the Business Role you want to appear as a Domain subdomain and click the Display Name link.

This directs you to the View One page for the Business Role. View One pages are designed to facilitate the viewing and managing of their corresponding objects in EmpowerID.

  3. Click the Edit link under Direct Assigned Locations in the Advanced accordion.

  4. Click the Select a Location link, search for and select the desired location, and click Save to close the tree. Please note that the selected location must be a child of the node configured for Business Domains, which in this case is the Business Domains node.

  5. If needed, click the Edit link again and repeat step 4 to assign the Business Role to another location.

  6. When finished assigning locations, click Save on the main page.
