If your organization has enabled Passwordless login, you can log in to have two options for accessing your organization's site without needing to use your password. You authenticate using your EmpowerID user name or email address and one or more of the MFA types – such as FIDO2 Security Keys or EmpowerID One-Time passwords – associated with your Password Manager policy.

Preferred Method: Using FIDO2 Security Keys (WebAuthn)

Using an FDIO2 Security Key provides a secure and seamless passwordless login experience.

Prerequisite

To use this method, you must register a FIDO2 Security Key. If you haven’t registered one yet, please follow the instructions at Register FIDO2 Security Key.

Steps to Login

1. Point your browser to your organization’s EmpowerID portal.

2. Click Passwordless Login and then click FIDO.

3. Select your identity from the Windows Security and click Next.

4. Enter your PIN.

Alternate Method: EmpowerID Username or Email with MFA

Authenticate using your EmpowerID username or email address, followed by one of the MFA options set for your user account. Please note that if no MFA options are set for your account, this method cannot be used.

1. Point your browser to your organization's Web EmpowerID portal.

2. Click Passwordless Login and then click the Passwordless Login linkEmpowerID.

3. Enter your EmpowerID login or email address , and then select I’m not a robotand click Submit.

4. Go through the reCAPTCHA challenge.

5. Click Submit.

7. Choose an authentication method and follow the prompts.
   
   Unless another level of multi-factor authentication is required on your account, you should now be logged in. The next time you choose Passwordless login, authenticate using your selected authentication method(S).
