Shared credentials are encrypted user names and passwords for privileged accounts that your organization has vaulted. EmpowerID chatbot allows you to create shared credentials using the Chatbot. Please follow the instructions below to create & view the shared credential.
Create Shared Credential
Supported Commands: The Chatbot can understand texts and sentences like create shared credential, create shared creds and will start the Create Shared Credential workflow. Please find information about the supported commands here in the docs Chatbot Commands .
Type help in the Bot to bring the options menu.
Click on Create Shared Credential button on the card.
Please provide the necessary information to create the Shared Credential. Click on Submit to save and create the shared credential.
Fields
Description
Type
Select the Type of the shared credential you want to create.
Name
A name to identify the shared credential.
Display Name
Name you to want to be displayed in the user interface. It can be different from the name.
Shared Credential Policy
Select a credential policy that defines the settings for the shared credential.
Location
Specify the location where the shared credential resource should be scoped. This shared credential cannot be used from other locations except the specified one.
Description
Please provide a short description of the Shared Credential and its purpose.
Username
Provide the username portion of the shared credentials.
Password
Enter the password of the shared credentials.
Notes
Provide notes, if any.
Enabled
Select the checkbox to enable the shared credential.
Master Password
Provide the master password of EmpowerID linked to your person.
You will receive a message indicating that the shared credential was created successfully.
View Shared Credential
Supported Commands: The Chatbot can understand texts and sentences like get shared creds, retrieve creds and will start the View Shared Credential workflow. Please find information about the supported commands here in the docs Chatbot Commands .
Type help in the Bot to bring the options menu.
Click on the View Shared Credential button on the card.
Please provide the Name of the Shared Credential to view the shared credential.
Enter the necessary details for Checkout Credential.
After the successful Checkout Credential, Bot will display the details of the Shared Credential.
