Deleting User Accounts
This topic demonstrates how to delete a user account in EmpowerID by deleting an AD user account. This topic is divided into the following activities:
- Deleting an account in EmpowerID
- Verifying the account is deleted in EmpowerID
- Verifying the account is deleted in Active Directory
Prerequisites: This topic demonstrates how to delete an account by deleting an Active Directory user account. As a prerequisite to deleting an Active Directory user account, EmpowerID must be connected to Active Directory and the user account must exist in EmpowerID. To delete an account in EmpowerID
- From the Navigation Sidebar of the EmpowerID Web interface, navigate to Find User Accounts page by expandingIdentities and clicking User Accounts.
- Search for the user account you want to delete and then click the record for that account. You should see a highlighted list of specific Actions that can be applied to that account.
- From the Actions pane, click the Delete Account action.
- Click Yes to confirm you want to delete the account and then click OK to close the Operation Execution Summary.
To verify the account is deleted in EmpowerID
- Navigate to the Audit Log page by expanding System Logs in the Navigation Sidebar and clicking Audit Log.
- From the Audit Log tab of the Audit Log, search for the user account you deleted. You should see a record for the deleted account in the grid.
To verify the account is deleted in Active Directory
- Open Active Directory Users and Computers and search for the account you deleted.
- You should see no results returned.
