Test Approval Flow

This article takes you through how to test the Approval Flow Policies and Approval Flow Steps created in the Configure Approval Policies and Configure Approval Steps topics. Successful test results should show the following:

• The Business Request is routed to the appropriate approver(s)

• After approval, the item(s) in the Business Request should be fulfilled

Test the policies

1. Log in to the IAM Shop as a user eligible to request access to one or more resource items, such as membership in a group or Business Role and Location.

2. Shop for an eligible item and submit your request.

3. Navigate from the IAM Shop to My Tasks.

4. Select My Requests and filter the requests as needed.

5. Verify that the approver of the request you submitted is the correct person.

6. Log in to My Tasks as the approver of the Business Request.

7. Select To Do and filter the tasks as needed.

8. Approve the task submitted to you.

9. Verify fulfillment.
