Delete Assigned MFA Assets (Tokens)

If you need to remove assigned MFA assets or tokens from users, follow the steps below. This helps keep the assigned tokens up to date and ensures that only necessary authentication methods are in use.

Make sure to confirm with the user that they no longer require the specific MFA asset before deletion to avoid unintended disruptions in their access capabilities.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to MFA Devices

    • On the navbar, expand Apps and Authentication and click MFA Devices.

  2. Open Advanced Search

    • Click the dropdown arrow on the Search field to access advanced search options.

  3. Search for the User

    • In the Asset Owner field, enter the name of the person for whom you need to delete the MFA asset.

    • Click Search.

      You should now see a list of MFA assets (tokens) currently assigned to the specified user.

  4. Select the Asset to Delete

    • Locate the asset you want to delete, and click the dropdown arrow on the record.

  5. Delete the Asset

    • Click Delete Asset.

Expected Results

The system deletes the selected MFA token, removing it from the user's profile and ensuring it is no longer active within EmpowerID.
