Change Your Master Password

You can change your master password at any time, provided you remember your current master password. If you do not remember it, you will need to reset the password, resulting in losing all stored passwords.

Procedure to Change Your Master Password

To change your master password in EmpowerID, follow these steps:

1. Access Your Profile
   In the EmpowerID Web application, click your user name and select View Profile from the dropdown menu.

2. Navigate to Privileged Access
   Click the Privileged Access tab on your profile page and expand the Secrets section.

3. Change Your Master Password
   Click Change Master Password to begin the process.

4. Enter Password Information
   In the dialog that appears, enter the following details:

   • Current Password: Enter your current master password.

   • Password: Enter your new master password.

   • Confirm Password: Re-enter your new master password to confirm.

5. Save the New Password
   Click OK to save your new master password.
   
   

Once completed, your new master password will be set, and you can use it for any future operations requiring access to your encrypted data, such as viewing passwords, secrets, or checking out credentials.
