Publish the Analytics Microservice to Azure

After you complete your configuration of the Analytics Service in Azure, you need to publish the Analytics Microservice to Azure to allow users of Azure License Manager to view the Analytics dashboard.

How to publish the Analytics Microservice to Azure

1. Log in to the EmpowerID Web interface as a person with the necessary access to execute the AzPublishMsAppToAppService workflow.

2. On the navbar, expand Azure Manager and click Configuration.

3. On the Configuration page, click the Tenants tab and then click the Publish Azure AD App Service action link to start the AzPublishMsAppToAppService workflow.

4. For Application Type select Azure Analytics.

5. Click Submit.

6. In the Microservice Application Deployment form, add the following:

   • Client ID — Enter the Client ID of the service principal application for the Analytics microservice you created earlier

   • Tenant ID — Enter the Tenant ID of your Azure AD tenant

   • Azure Analytics - Publisher Profile settings file — Click the Choose File button and then browse for the publisher profile settings for the Azure Analytics service app you downloaded

   • Api URL — Enter the FQDN of your Azure License Manager server, such as https://sso.empoweriam.com, where sso.empoweriam.com is the FQDN of your server.

7. When ready, click Submit.

    

8. Click Yes to confirm that you want to publish the Microservice.

9. Click OK to close the publish results message.

10. Back on the Configuration page, click the Settings tab.

11. Enter the URL for the Azure Analytics app service in the Azure Anaytics URL and click Save.
