Assign Approver Delegates
When managers and other decision-makers are out of the office, you can make others "Approver Delegates" for those people. In EmpowerID, Approver Delegates are people who can approve and deny requests on behalf of someone.
To enable Approver Delegation, use it in conjunction with the Out of Office property. Set Out of Office to true for the person delegating their approval rights. You can do this by editing the person, selecting the Advanced tab, and enabling the Out of Office option.
Procedure
Step 1 – Locate the Person’s View Page
You can find the person's View or View One page by either:
Using the Global Search Bar: Search for the person at the top of the page (this is the quickest method).
Using the Find Person Page: Navigate to the Find Person page and search for the person.
Step 2 – Edit Approver Delegates
On the person’s View or View One page, expand the Org Chart and Relationships accordion.
In the Approver Delegates pane, click the Edit link.
Step 3 – Assign the Approver Delegate
In the Search field that appears, enter the name of the person who will act as the Approver Delegate.
Click the tile for the person.
Click the Save link to finalize the delegation.
