Approving Credential Requests

When users request access to credentials, EmpowerID routes those requests to users with the authority to approve them based on the Approval policy configuration for those credentials. Approvers receive notification of the pending request and can respond to them in the My Tasks application.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:

  • Appropriate access rights as an approver based on the configured Approval policy for the credentials.

Procedure

Step 1: Log in to the My Tasks Portal

  • Navigate to the My Tasks portal for your organization and log in using your credentials

Step 2: Locate the Business Request

  • From the To Do page of My Tasks, locate the Business Request with the credential request. To help you locate credential requests, you can filter the Business Requests that appear in the grid by searching for and selecting Personal External Credential Access from the Filter By Item Type filter.
