Disconnect Mailboxes
When you disconnect an Exchange mailbox, you remove the association between the mailbox and the Active Directory user account that previously owned the mailbox, setting the mailbox quota to 0.
Prerequisites
EmpowerID must be connected to an Active Directory domain with an Exchange organization that is connected as a resource system. For more information see Connect to Active Directory and Configuring Exchange Management (On-Premise).
Procedure
On the navbar, expand the Object Administration section and click Mailboxes.
This directs you to the ‘Find Exchange Mailboxes’ page.Â
Under ‘General Actions,’ click Disconnect Mailbox.
Â
Search for the mailbox you wish to disconnect and tick the box for the desired mailbox to select it.
Â
Repeat step 3 for any other mailboxes you need to disconnect.
When ready, click Next to continue.
Click Submit to close the Operation Execution Summary.
Â
EmpowerID Logging
EmpowerID maintains permanent logs of all activity and transactions that occur in the system. You can view the log for disconnected mailboxes by doing the following:
On the navbar, expand the System Logs section and click Audit Log.
Select the Audit Log tab and search for ‘Disconnect Mailbox.’
You should see records for all disconnected mailboxes.
