Set up Email Notification Preferences

To better manage the notification events in EmpowerID, you can customize your email preferences. When someone in your organization requests access to a resource, a Business Request is created, generating notification events in EmpowerID. Similarly, when a user interacts with a business request, such as adding a comment, more notification events are generated. Since these events can be frequent, you may not want to receive an email notification for every event. If your organization allows it, you can opt to enable or disable email notifications and choose the specific types of emails you want to receive in MyIdentity. These customizable options allow you to stay informed without being overwhelmed by irrelevant updates.

How to set up your email notification preferences

  1. In MyIdentity, click your username and select Email Notifications from the menu.

This will take you to the Email Notifications page.

On this page, you have the following configurable options:

    • Enable or disable email notifications.

    • If email notifications are enabled, choose the type of emails you want to receive.

  2. To enable or disable email notifications, toggle between Yes and No, depending on your preference.

  3. Under the Event Emails section, toggle between “Yes” and “No” to specify whether you want to receive emails for a particular event. For example, if you want to receive an email each time a request you initiated is approved, you select Yes for the As Initiator Request Approved event.

  4. If you are a local risk or function owner, you can choose whether to receive these reports via email and set the frequency of the emails under the Functions and Risk Reports section.

  5. Under the Digest Emails section, you can decide whether to receive these reports via email and set the frequency for receiving them. Digest emails include:

    • Report on open or recently closed requests for the subscriber or initiated by the subscriber

    • Report all the things that expire for myself

    • Report on all pending to to tasks for subscriber
