Manage Recertification Workflow Parameters

There are a number of ways that you can manage recertification workflows including:

  • changing the description,

  • defining the Request Workflow Parameters, and

  • modifying default values.

Each recertification workflow has its own parameters to configure and its own email template and email tokens. See Recertification Permanent Workflows for more information. It is a best practice to provide default values in the Unreviewed Recertification Task Notification workflow parameters to ensure that emails are sent any time escalation or notification is enabled for a workflow.

If you do not need to notify Line Managers or escalate unreviewed tasks to the Supervisor for a workflow, set the EnableNotification and EnableEscalation properties to false for the audit.

If these properties are set to true and no email templates or frequency are provided, the values are taken from the Unreviewed Recertification Task Notification workflow parameters, which are valid for all Recertifications.

In an Audit, no emails are sent even if EnableReminder or EnableEscalation is enabled if:

  • the value provided for EscalationDayCount or NotificationDayCount is -1, and

  • no EscalationDayCount or NotificationDayCount is configured for the audit.

Do the following to set default parameters for when notification is enabled on any audit, but no email template or frequency is specified:

  1. On the navbar, expand Object Administration and click Workflows.

  2. Search for the workflow you want to modify and then click the Display Name to go to the Workflow's View page.

  3. On the Workflow View page, expand the Request Workflow Parameters accordion.

  4. Modify each parameter as desired. To ensure that emails are sent for unreviewed tasks, do the following:

    1. Next to NotificationDayCount, click the Edit icon and enter the default number of days to wait before sending an email to the Line Manager.

    2. Next to EscalationDayCount, click the Edit icon and enter the default number of days before the audit ends to send an email to the Line Manager's supervisor.

  5. Click Save.
