Modifying Group Attributes with the CRUD Runner

Administrators can use the EmpowerID CRUD Runner application to modify the Description attribute of existing groups. This allows for updating or refining group descriptions to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational naming conventions and policies.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the endpoint configured for the CRUD Runner.

2. If you are not authenticated, you will be directed to Keycloak.

3. Enter your credentials in Keycloak and sign in.

   After authenticating, you are directed to the CRUD Runner.
   
   

   Open

   

    

4. Under Pages, search for OCG - OpenLDAP and click the tile for that page.
   
   

   Open

   

    

   This opens the page for managing OpenLDAP users and groups in your organization.

5. Select the Groups tab and search for the target group.
   
   

   Open

   

    

6. Click the group record to enable the contextual actions.

7. Click the Modify Group action.
   
   

   Open

   

   
   This opens the OCG - OpenLDAP Modify Group form.
   
   

   Open

   

    

8. Modify the Description as needed and click Submit.
   
   

   Open

   

   
   You should see a message stating the workflow was completed successfully.
