Onboard People
EmpowerID provides a comprehensive wizard workflow called "Onboard Person" to simplify and streamline the process of manually onboarding individuals. This wizard offers various options to accommodate different needs and preferences:
Create Person Simple Mode: Designed for ease of use, this option requires only essential information to create a new person, such as their First Name, Last Name, Primary Business Role, and Location.
Create Person Advanced Mode: Catering to more complex requirements, this mode provides additional configuration options and demands further details, such as assigning the new person to one or more Management Roles and groups.
Create Person From Another Mode: This innovative approach enables you to create a new person by using another individual's information as a template.
In order to customize the user experience during the onboarding process, the workflow offers several adjustable parameters. This article will walk you through the steps of modifying these parameters and running the workflow in each mode.
Step 1: Configure workflow parameters
The Onboard Person wizard workflow incorporates numerous customizable parameters, allowing you to modify the fields displayed to users running the workflow and to determine whether human approval is needed before EmpowerID fulfills the request and provisions the person. The table below lists these parameters. By customizing these parameters, you can tailor the onboarding experience to best suit your organization's needs and preferences. In this example, we set the SendForApproval parameter to false.
To configure workflow parameters, do the following:
On the navbar, expand Low Code/No Code Workflow and select Low Code Workflows.
Select the Workflow tab and search for Onboard Person.
Click the Display Name for the workflow.
Â
On the View One page for the workflow, expand the Request Workflow Parameters accordion and search for the SendForApproval parameter.
Click the Edit button for the parameter.
Â
Change the Value to false and click Save.
Â
Follow the above steps to change other parameter values as needed.
Step 2 – Run the workflow
