Check-in Credentials

If you have checked out credentials and want to check them in before the allotted period of time granted to you expires, you can manually do so. Once credentials are checked in, you must submit a new request to access those credentials again. If you do not manually check in the credentials, they will be automatically checked in for you by the system after the time period expires.

Most likely, your organization has a policy for the credential that mandates the password for that credential be rotated by the system. This means once you check in the credential, the password you used will no longer be valid.

Check-in credentials

  1. Navigate to the IAM Shop portal for your organization and sign in.

  2. Select Credentials from the Resource Type dropdown and click Manage Access.

  3. Locate the credentials you want to check in and click Check In.
