Export XML from SNOW

To deploy items using the Import Update Set from XML method

This method should be used if there is an existing ServiceNow instance with the required items already deployed and in a working state.

Export XML from the existing instance

1. Login to the ServiceNow instance that has the item you want to export to a new instance.

2. Search for System Update Sets in the filter navigator and then click Local Update Sets.

3. Click the record for your application. In our case, the name is EmpowerID.

4. Under Related Links, click Publish to Update Set.

   
   
   

5. Click Publish in the Publish to Update Set dialog that appears.

   
   
   

6. Click Done.

   
   
   

7. Under Related Links, click Export to XML.
   
   

   
   
   

8. Save the file.
